Surprised CBS let him get away with this even though I think he is right.
AMEN ANDY ROONEY !

Right on, Andy Rooney!
Andy Rooney said on "60 Minutes" a few weeks back:
I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of
anything except numbers. The only things I can think of
that are truly discriminatory are things like the United
Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment
Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things
like the UnitedCaucasianCollege Fund, Cloud Magazine,
White Entertainment Television, or Miss White America;
and see what happens...Jesse Jackson will be knocking
down your door.
Guns do not make you a killer. I think killing makes you
a killer. You can kill someone with a baseball bat or a
car, but no one is trying to ban you from driving to the
ball game.
I believe they are called the Boy Scouts for a reason,
that is why there are no girls allowed. Girls belong in
the Girl Scouts! ARE YOU LISTENING MARTHA BURKE?
I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is
not a phobia, it is an opinion.
I have the right "NOT" to be tolerant of others because
they are different, weird, or tick me off.
When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in
cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not
racial profiling, it is the Law of Probability.
I believe that if you are selling me a milkshake, a pack
of cigarettes, a newspaper or a hotel room, you must do
it in English! As a matter of fact, if you want to be an
American citizen, you should have to speak English!
My father and grandfather didn't die in vain so you can
leave the countries you were born in to come over and
disrespect ours.
I think the police should have every right to shoot your
sorry ass if you threaten them after they tell you to
stop. If you can't understand the word "freeze" or
"stop" in English, see the above lines.
I don't think just because you were not born in this
country, you are qualified for any special loan
programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks,
etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket
store, or any other business.
We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries
and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so
that decades later they could come over here and tell us
our constitution is a living document; and open to their
interpretations.
I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor.
I know pro wrestling is fake, but so are movies and
television. That doesn't stop you from watching them.
I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny
he made and continue to make more. If it ticks you off,
go and invent the next operating system that's better,
and put your name on the building.
It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right,
but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid; and
smack their little behinds when necessary, and say "NO!"
I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them,
but please don't pretend they are a political statement.
And, please, stay home until that new lip ring heals I
don't want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you
serve me French fries!
I am sick of "Political Correctness." I know a lot of
black people, and not a single one of them was born
in Africa; so how can they be "African-Americans"?
Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go around saying
I am a European-American because my great, great, great,
great, great, great grandfather was from Europe. I am
proud to be from America and nowhere else
And if you don't like my point of view, tough...
I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG, OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND TO THE REPUBLIC, FOR WHICH IT STANDS, ONE NATION UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!
I was asked to send this on if I agree or delete if I don't. It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a problem in having "In God We Trust" on our money and having "God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. Why don't we just tell the 14% to Shut Up and BE QUIET!!!
Subject: Three cheers for Australia
Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.
A day after a group of mainstream Muslim leaders pledged loyalty to Australia at a special meeting with Prime Minister John Howard, he and his ministers made it clear that extremists would face a crackdown.
Treasurer Peter Costello, seen as heir apparent to Howard, hinted that some radical clerics could be asked to leave the country if they did not accept that Australia was a secular state and its laws were made by parliament. "If those are not your values, if you want a country which has Sharia law or a theocratic state, then Australia is not for you," he said on national television.
"I'd be saying to clerics who are teaching that there are two laws governing people in Australia, one the Australian law and another the Islamic law, that is false. If you can't agree with parliamentary law, independent courts, democracy, and would prefer Sharia law and have the opportunity to go to another country, which practices it, perhaps, then, that's a better option," Costello said.
Asked whether he meant radical clerics would be forced to leave, he said those with dual citizenship could possibly be asked to move to the other country. Education Minister Brendan Nelson later told reporters that Muslims who did not want to accept local values should "clear off".
"Basically, people who don't want to be Australians, and they don't want to live by Australian values and understand them, well then they can basically clear off," he said. Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques.
AMERICA and Canada..... ARE YOU LISTENING?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Australia- The Right to Leave Our Country - YOU Have the right....the right to leave
After Sydney not wanting to offend other cultures by putting up Xmas lights.
After hearing that the State of South Australia changed its opinion and let a Muslim woman have her picture on her driver's license with her face covered. This prompted this editorial written by an Australian citizen. Published in an Australian newspaper.
Quote:
IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.
However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others. I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to Australia.
However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.
This idea of Australia being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Australians, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle.
This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, Learn the language!
Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push but a fact because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, Because God is part of our culture.
We will accept your beliefs and will not question why, all we ask is that you accept ours and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.
If the Southern Cross offends you, or you don't like " A Fair Go", then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet.
We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. By all means keep your culture but do not force it on others.
This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this.
But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, "THE RIGHT TO LEAVE".
If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.

"This country is not worth dying
for." Cindy Sheehan, war protester
Mrs. Sheehan, my prayer for you
is that you defeat the anger that has consumed you and achieve inner peace.
There is only one way I know for that to occur:
Ephesians
3:14-19
In America, we are free to choose. Young men and women choose military service for many different reasons. What is important is it's a choice freely made in a free country. I suppose it would be much easier for the protestors if we had a conscript military. One filled with those who didn't want to serve and would not have chosen to serve. It's a different generation now. While others may wane, the professional volunteers serving in our country's armed forces won't be swayed from their mission. The rest of America should thank God for that each day.
When I enlisted into the Army, I didn't intend to stay one day more than my three year enlistment. No matter the reason that a man or woman enters the service, what's important is why, in increasing numbers, do they stay? Is it because they think our country is worth dying for? No, Soldiers don't think that way. They believe, deeply, that what our country stands for is worth preserving - worth living and fighting for. They have a strong sense of purpose and a calling to service. They may not enlist for those reasons, but it is why they stay.
It bothers me when I hear Soldiers referred to as boys or kids - those who oppose the military and oppose war for any reasons often do it. It's their attempt to build sympathy for their position. The men and women who, by choice, proudly serve in the uniformed armed services of our country are not anyone's kid. A Soldier's reality vaults "kid" hood rather quickly.
I never met a soldier that defined "country" as real estate for which he or she would willingly die. It's more than that. It's about a way of life that's produced the greatest country ever known to Humankind. It's a country worth living for. People die trying to get to America. They're willing to risk death for what we have and they've only heard about it, never lived it. Is it worth dying for?
America is a tolerant country. If we were not, no one would get a public forum with which to disparage our leaders and Soldiers. We tolerate all religions and all political persuasions. You can count on your hand the number of countries around the world that do the same. As you're counting these few free countries, I also want you to count the number of men and women who've sacrificed to keep them free. The countries that live and believe as we do here in America don't attack one another or us. We are trying to pioneer that idea of freedom and tolerance into the most oppressed and intolerant region of our planet. To survive, we must. Yes, it is a noble undertaking. Why is it noble? The military power of the United States of America could obliterate every bastion of Islamic fascism in the world and do it in relatively short order. If we did it that way, our actions would not stand as an example of the beliefs that we hope to spread.
I'm grateful each day that I was able to spend more than half my existence on this earth with thousands of the dedicated men and women that keep our country free and moving forward. They make it work, they defend it and the great ideals that caused it to be the best place on earth to live, work and raise families. Unfortunately, there will always be those willing to take their share of the prize while condemning those who made the prize possible. They walk the freedom road cleared by men and women of valor who willingly sacrifice for those who would disparage and dishonor them.
Soldiers view protestors as one might view a toddler. Toddlers throw temper tantrums. During their little fits of anger, they tell us how much they hate us. We pick them up, hug them, and then protect them with every ounce of our being. We protect them because we know that they are the ones who most need our protection. If we left them to fend for themselves, the evil in this world would finish them - and America.

THIS IS REALLY GREAT ABOUT DENZEL Washington Don't know whether you heard about this but Denzel Washington and his family visited the troops at Brook Army Medical Center, in San Antonio,Texas (BAMC) the other day. This is where soldiers that have been evacuated from Germany come to be hospitalized in the States, especially burn victims. They have buildings there called Fisher Houses. The Fisher House is a hotel where soldiers' families can stay, for little or no charge, while their soldier is staying in the hospital. BAMC has quite a few of these houses on base but as you can imagine, they are almost completely filled most of the time. While Denzel Washington was visiting BAMC, they gave him a tour of one of the Fisher Houses. He asked how much one of them would cost to build. He took his check book out and wrote a check for the full amount right there on the spot. The soldiers overseas were amazed to hear this story and want to get the word out to the American public, because it warmed their hearts to hear it. The question I have is why does Alec Baldwin, Modonna, Sean Penn and other Hollywood types make front page news with their anti-everything America crap and this doesn't even make page 3 in the Metro section of any newspaper except the base newspaper in San Antonio THANK YOU DENZEL! - We Applaud your True Patriotism and Generous Spirit! Your Movies are Great as WELL! |

This Man has more of a right to be herd then most that we do here from on
>a dally bases..! This is an article by Michael Niewodowski, a chef at the Windows on the World restaurant, who was supposed to report to work there at the top of the World Trade Center at 9:00 a.m. The first plane hit at 8:46. He's not a professional writer.

From Here to Eternity. Tora, Tora, Tora. In Harm's Way. These are three films made about Pearl Harbor. There have been more than 20 films made about Pearl Harbor, and over 200 films made about World War II. These films inspire patriotism, courage, and nationalism. They tell us about the honor and bravery of the soldiers and the nation that supported them. Two and a half years after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the world watched American forces fight on D-Day. Two and a half years after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the world is watching Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit
9/11."
Moore's film is the first major motion picture about Sept. 11, 2001. This bears repeating. When future generations look back on the Sept. 11 massacre, their first impression, through the medium of film, will be a work in which the president and the government are blamed for the attacks, and the soldiers who are protecting this country are defamed. Instead of a film version of Lisa Beamer's book, "Let's Roll," or Richard Picciotto's "Last Man Down," we are presented with this fallacy.
How could this happen?
It would be a colossal insult to insinuate that Franklin D. Roosevelt or the U.S. government were in any way responsible for the attacks on Pearl Harbor.
Can you imagine the indignation of the men and women who lived during that period?
"Fahrenheit 9/11" is indicative of a nation that has become too apathetic, ignorant or deceived to face the enemy at the gate.
America ... where is your fury?
On Sept. 11, 2001, I stood across the Hudson River, watching the Twin Towers burn, knowing that if the plane had struck at 9:46 a.m. instead of 8:46 a.m., I would be dead. As a survivor and witness to the attack on the World Trade Center, I am more than insulted by this film. I am outraged!
This film is based on conjecture, hearsay and propaganda. At a time when this country desperately needs to rally in support of our brave soldiers and our strong leaders, Moore is content to spread discord and divisiveness..
The base of his argument is that the Bush administration had strong ties with the bin Laden family. However, sound facts are conspicuously absent from this "documentary."
The 9/11 commission did not indict President Bush. According to the report, the president's actions before, during and after the attacks are fully justified, including the military action in Iraq. The commission did not find a direct link between Saddam Hussein's Iraq and the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. A similar commission in the 1940s would not have found a direct
link between Hitler's Germany and the attack on Pearl Harbor. In both instances, the threat was imminent; the president and the military acted decisively.
Could we have been more prepared for a terrorist attack on Sept. 10, 2001?
Certainly. Could we have been more prepared for an attack on Dec. 6, 1941?
Most definitely. In the weeks and months following Pearl Harbor, there were reports and criticisms that the government and military should have been more prepared.
The difference is that the people of the nation did not waste a lot of time pointing fingers at each other. Rather, they unified and engaged the enemy head-on. I guess that is why we call them "The Greatest Generation."
How will future generations refer to us?
So, how do we explain Moore's film to future generations? I wonder. More than that, I wonder how I would explain this film to Nancy D., Jerome N. or Heather H. I am sure you don't know their names, but their faces
haunt me day and night. How would I explain to them that a film was made
accusing the president and vilifying the soldiers ... the same president and soldiers who are attempting to avenge their murders and protect other citizens.
Moore has not only insulted the nation, he has insulted the victims of the
terrorist attacks. During his acceptance speech at the Oscars, Moore said,
"Shame on you, Mr. Bush."
Well, I say, "Shame on you, Michael Moore."
Shame on everyone who supports this travesty of a film. Shame on a society that allows this sham of a film. You have weakened the nation.

Pass this around instead of stuff that tears down
what our Country has done
for the Iraqis. I'm tired of hearing how horrible
our President and our
presence in Iraq is, here are some facts that tell a
different story. Too
bad they won't make it on the TV news!!!!!
This is a letter from Ray Reynolds, a medic in the
Iowa Army National Guard, serving in Iraq: As I head off to Baghdad for the final weeks of my stay in Iraq, I wanted to
say thanks to all of you who did not believe the
media. They have done a very poor job of covering everything that has happened. I am sorry that I have not been able to visit all of you during my two week leave back home.
And just so you can rest at night knowing something is happening in Iraq
that is noteworthy, I thought I would pass this on
to you. This is the list
of things that has happened in Iraq recently:
(Please share it with your
friends and compare it to the version that your
paper is producing.)
* Over 400,000 kids have up-to-date immunizations.
* School attendance is up 80% from levels before the
war.
* Over 1,500 schools have been renovated and rid of
the weapons stored there
so education can occur.
* The port of Uhm Qasar was renovated so grain canbe off-loaded from ships faster.
* The country had its first 2 billion barrel export of oil in August.
* Over 4.5 million people have clean drinking water for the first time ever in Iraq.
* The country now receives 2 times the electrical power it did before the war.
* 100% of the hospitals are open and fully staffed, compared to 35% beforethe war.
* Elections are taking place in every major city,
and city councils are inplace.
* Sewer and water lines are installed in every major
city.
* Over 60,000 police are patrolling the streets.
* Over 100,000 Iraqi civil defense police are
securing the country.
* Over 80,000 Iraqi soldiers are patrolling the streets side by side with US soldiers.
* Over 400,000 people have telephones for the first time ever.
* Students are taught field sanitation and handwashing techniques to
prevent the spread of germs.
* An interim constitution has been signed.
* Girls are allowed to attend school. * Textbooks that don't mention Saddam are in theschools for the first timein 30 years. Don't believe for one second that these people do not want us there. I have met many, many people from Iraq that want us there, and in a bad way. They say they will never see the freedoms we talk about but they hope their children will. We are doing a good job in Iraq and Ichallenge anyone, anywhere to dispute me on these facts. So If you happen to run into John Kerry, be sure to give him my email address and send him to Denison, Iowa. This soldier will set him straight. If you are like me and very disgusted with how this period of rebuilding has been portrayed, email this to a
friend and let them know there are good things happening.
